MEN’S RALLY IN THE VALLEY will be at The Covelli Centre in Youngstown April 28 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. with featured speaker Redskins Quarterback Colt McCoy. Admission is FREE. Go to www.mensrally.org for details or stop by the sign-up table in the Welcome Friends Center on Sunday, April 22. We will meet at the church at 7 a.m. to ride together.


NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL BIBLE STUDY BEGINS APRIL 29 – Join Hannah Miller at 9:15 a.m. in Room 205 to study Isiah: Trusting God in Troubled Times. Study book cost is $6.00.


LADIES’ TEA • April 29 • 2:00 p.m. • Family Life Center – Women In Ministry will host a Ladies’ Tea for all Alliance Friends Church women and their guests of all ages. Bring your daughters, granddaughters, and your favorite tea cups! Tea, coffee and a variety of finger foods will be served. Emily Trevino, director of Alliance Pregnancy Center, will be our speaker. No RSVP is necessary. This Tea is also to provide a “Shower of Blessings” to The Alliance Pregnancy Center (APC). Current needs list includes: girls’ clothing sizes 3 mos. -2T, diapers sizes 4-5, baby lotion, wash, shampoo, diaper rash ointment and ladies toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, deodorant are needed. We are also taking monetary donations for the purchase of car seats for new parents to take their babies home from the hospital if they attend our Baby Boot Camp preparation classes.


LOOKING FOR A SUMMER MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY WORKING WITH CHILDREN? Camp Sambica in Bellevue, Washington, located on beautiful Lake Sammamish, is looking for summer staff to share the love of Jesus with campers. Seventy-five percent of those attending are unchurched. CAMP GIDEON WORK DAY – You are invited to join the Camp Gideon staff on Saturday, May 5, for a work day to help prepare the camp grounds for the 2018 summer camp season. Contact Camp Gideon at 330-247-2474 for more details. Please RSVP if you plan to participate so they can plan lunch accordingly.


MEMBERSHIP CLASS • Saturday, May 19 • Room 201 • 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with continental breakfast included. This class deals with our mission, ministries, history, beliefs. and organizational structure taught by Pastor Rick. Call Hannah in the office if interested.


STORAGE SPACE NEEDED. Do you have storage space available that missionaries could use for items they can’t take to the mission field? Let Pastor Rick or Joyce know if you’d like to provide this ministry to these saints. Often the need can be short term.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: YOUNG ADULT ASSISTANT - 15 Hours/Week - $10 Per Hour

• Lead and teach discipleship Bible studies for the purpose of raising up leaders in this generation.

• Plan and pull off outreach activities (socials) and mission/work/service opportunities for young adults.

• Connect and disciple young adults by attending Revolution at Alliance Friends Church, and other young adult and college age gatherings like Campus Crusade for Christ, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and University of Mt Union which are deemed strategic to make the most vital connections possible for discipling within the framework of a 15-hour work week.

• Work with Adult Discipleship Pastor to build relationships with young adults and make disciples.

• Report to Adult Discipleship Pastor and Christian Education Elder upon request.
