F.R.O.G. WORKERS MEETING • WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 • 6:00 P.M. We will serve pizza and salad for dinner in the Johnson Fellowship Hall. Please come. We have many items to go over.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY • September 20 • 6:30 p.m. • Sanctuary – We are pleased to have Dave from DFC come to share his CR testimony with us this week. Lots of childhood abuse from his father set the stage for Dave to grow into an angry man. Without the power of Christ being released to heal and work within us--we very often repeat the very behaviors and attitudes we claim to hate. Come hear this remarkable story of Jesus' healing and redemption.
NEW CR Women's Step Study will begin September 25 on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Room 203 with Mary DeSormoux leading. You DO NOT have to be in CR to join this in-depth healing study. Materials available the first night; please reserve yours in advance if possible. Text or call Mary DeSormoux.

When our Congregational business meeting voted 85% to go with church consultant New Church Specialties it was explained that THEY would choose the Interim Pastor. They have. They also have a process (surveys and interviews) that also comes with their being consultants to help us choose our next pastor following the interim. In other words, once the decision was made in July’s CBM, then all these other decisions automatically followed. Thanks for your prayers and support at this exciting time.
ALLIANCE FRIENDS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY CONTRIBUTIONS - If you would like to give a contribution as a memorial gift "in honor of" OR "in memory of" those who have been promoted to Glory, please write your check to Alliance Friends Church with AFCA in the memo section. Names of individuals who have recently been honored with a contribution in their name are: Sidney & Betty Swiggett (sister and brother-in-law of Dr. Ed Mitchell).
LOST & FOUND – Clothing, Tupper wear, a crockpot and many other items are located on a table in the Coffee Bar room. Please take a look and see if any of it is yours. Any items not claimed by Sunday, September 23, will be taken to the Goodwill.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY • September 27 • 6:30 p.m. • Sanctuary – Crossroads is where we stand when we have allowed God to begin to heal our wounds and sinful behaviors. We have had some successes, but this comes with caution: “so, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall” I Cor 10:12. It’s easy to get lazy and begin relying on yourself again. Come learn how to prevent that slippery that pulls you back into old negative patterns.
HELP CORNERSTONE GET TO “YOUTH EXPLOSION” – Our kids are serving you lunch next Sunday, September 30, after the Revolution service. We praise God for your generosity and look forward to seeing you! -Youth Pastor Randy Jellison
